Matoaca Elementary School

Matoaca Elementary prekindergartners had a special visitor while they were learning about balls. Tony Atlas, the first African American batboy for the California Angels, spoke to the students of Lisa Gwaltney and Stacy Spinner. He and his wife, Julie Atlas, have written a book titled “32 Letters'' about his determination to become a batboy for the team now known as the Los Angeles Angels.
